Meet the Maker

Growing up in Donegal, in the far north of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, I was surrounded by the amazing natural beauty of our local white sandy beaches. After years of collecting flotsam and jetsam - mainly shells – I switched to beachcombing for sea glass, driftwood and pottery and the adventure has continued over many years and many beaches.

When my busy life as a mum and musician slowed right down in March 2020, I found time to experiment with my collection of sea-worn treasures and Verre de Mer came into being.

I am enjoying experimenting with different forms of artistry, including handcrafting door and memorial wreaths, creating sea-find collages, driftwood décor and seasonal decorations; soldering sea glass, and photography.

I am inspired to share the lustrous beauty and tactile richness of the myriad objects I find on Irish beaches so that they can bring the spirit of the sea into your home!
